Dilbert the Duck

SNoGS

Society of Nottingham Guides and Scouts

Dilbert the Duck drinking Guinness

SNoGS is affiliated to SSAGO, the national student Scout and Guide organisation. SSAGO is a non-uniformed branch of the Scout and Guiding associations formed to encourage scouting and guiding amongst students. The groups tend to encourage more of, the social side of of scouting and guiding rather than the formal bits! There is more going out and drinking beer and doing interesting activities and less of the uniforms, parades and such like normally associated with scouting and guiding. However if you are interested in helping out at a local group, we have good contacts with the local units, which are always looking for new leaders and helpers!

Become a Snog!

If you are a member of the Nottingham university students' union you can join SNoGS! If you'd like to join in, come along to one of our activities and introduce yourself, signup to our membership list on the Students Union Website, or find out more about us on Facebook.

The programme...

We have regular activities on Wednesdays, ranging from going to the pub to night hikes and rafting. Every term (3 times a year) we go to the national SSAGO rally which is run by a different university SSAGO club each time. This is a fantastic way to travel and see the sights around the UK as well as meeting with and making new friends! To find out what we have planned, please join our mailing list or email us.
