slr Camera Workshops

These workshops will teach you the basics of how to operate an SLR.  We will cover the fundamental functions of an SLR, including different types of lenses and their uses, aperture and shutter speed, measuring and setting exposure, and film types.  There will be a maximum of eight people in each workshop, giving you the chance to handle and operate an SLR.  If you already have your own SLR feel free to bring it along.

Darkroom Workshops

A beginners' workshop will be running for the first few weeks of term. It will be a general introduction to the darkroom, showing you how to use the b/w enlarger and the process involved in developing black and white prints. We won’t be developing the original negatives, although I’ll explain the procedure to do this.
All of the darkroom sessions during the first few weeks are identical sessions, not increasing in level of difficulty.
