Here is a list of the equipment we use underground, with brief descriptions. All equipment is provided by the club free of charge!

SRT (Single Rope Technique) Equipment
| Harness Sit-harness to hold kit. |

| Chest harness Helps keep body upright as well as supporting croll (lower jammer). |

| Central maillon Connects two loops of harness together as well as being connection point for most of SRT kit. |

| Cowstails Two lengths of ropes attached to central maillon with krabs on the end. Used as safety cords on pitch heads, as well as in various manoeuvres. |

| Croll Jammer that sits just above central maillon and is attached to chest harness to keep it upright. Used to ascend the rope. |

| Hand Jammer Second jammer that is connected to foot loop, for ascending rope. |

| Footloop Loop of rope that comes down from hand jammer to feet. Used to step up on Hand Jammer to allow croll to move up rope. Attaches to central maillon and hand jammer. |

| Stop A self-braking descender for single rope use. It is one of the most popular devices for cave descents worldwide. Can be rapidly installed or removed from the rope without disconnecting it from the harness. |
