NUCC is a club of about 100 members who spend their weekends exploring underground, splashing through rivers and abseiling down waterfalls. We are affiliated with the Council for Higher Education Caving Clubs (CHECC) and date back to 1948. The current committee are:

| The appropriately named Trip Officer is in charge of organising and running club trips, making sure we have a roof over our heads and a minibus to not crash. Lots of work goes into setting up a caving trip, so rather than make fun of the Trip Officer it is a club tradition to mock their Mother instead. | |

| Looks after anything to do with money for the club to make sure we have enough money to buy lots of shiny equipment to scratch and cover in mud. | |

| The committee member with the highest chance of contracting tuberculosis during their year, the Tackle Officer is in charge of keeping shiny things shiny and generally trying to fix everything else. When this fails they will resort to using club equipment to build nests in the equipment store. | |

| If you hang out at club socials then you will probably see the club Social Sec. Her job is to churn out the weekly slices of fantastic social gatherings that you can expect. She doesn't do it for the glory, she just loves seeing happy cavers. | |
