About the club:
We are a non-competitive white water paddling club which specialises in river running and play boating. Maybe you have never seen a kayak before and have no idea what a spray deck is, or perhaps you are an experienced paddler who is keen to meet new paddling buddies whilst at Nottingham; whatever your experience Nottingham University Canoe Club is for you.
We run two pool sessions a week:
Wednesday 9.30-10.30 pm
Friday 8:30-9:30 pm
We teach the various skills needed for kayaking on white water as well as more advanced skills for those who want to learn them.
We run plenty of social events and visits to the local pub for a drink and a chance to get to know eachother.
Every semester we hold a variety of trips from the Fun Day of Fun (it really is that fun) to several weekend trips to places around the country. Trips cater for all abilities unless otherwise stated and are always good fun and extremely good value for money. The trip costs includes food, travel accommodation and the key kayaking equipment you need along with insurance.
