SOCIAL EVENTS
At Nottingham University Athletics Club, we are not just about the running, we have fortnightly social events throughout term time for club members to get to know each other better and build the NUAC team spirit! From the infamous 'week of death', scavenger hunts and bar crawls to suited and booted formal Christmas meals, the social scene of the NUAC is not to be missed!
The pinnacle of the social calendar is the Christmas meal, usually set on the first Wednesday of December. In addition to a three course meal, members have been treated to special guest appearances for talks and question and answer sessions. In 2009, European and Commonwealth Gold Medalist Dwain Chambers was the guest speaker, followed by 2010 Commonwealth Champion Leon Baptiste in December 2010.
