The Course
Starting and finishing on 'the downs', an open grassy space in the middle of campus, the road course heads towards the sports centre before heading south towards the lake. The course then heads through a picturesque setting below Trent Building alongside the lake towards the Arts centre before heading back up a challenging hill towards Hallward Library and back towards a very fast downhill finish section.

Ed Prickett - A Memorial
Ed Prickett, one of the best sportsmen our university has ever seen, had his life cruelly taken away from him when he was knocked down by a motor vehicle outside the Gateshead Stadium, where he was representing the University of Nottingham Athletics Club in the BUSA Outdoor competition on the 2nd May 2004.
As a mark of respect for Ed, the 2005 annual University organised race has been named: “The Ed Prickett Memorial Road Relays”. Ed was a remarkable Person whose enthusiasm and laughter reflected upon us all.
