British Universities Aikido Tournament, 17th-18th March 2007, University of Nottingham
This
year’s student nationals will be hosted by the University of Nottingham,
at the Jubilee Campus sports centre on Triumph Road. Following the huge
success of last year's tournament in Sheffield,
which included seminars with Fumiaki Shishida Shihan (8th dan) and a team of
students representing Tokyo Universities, we aim to maintain the very high
standard of this event as the showcase of aikido in British Universities.

The cost for competitors is £15 for the
whole weekend, for non-competitors it is £10 for one day, £15 for both days.

aikido". To minimise administration on the day, student clubs should pay
a single fee for all their competitors.
Directions to venue
If coming by train, turn right out of
the station main entrance, cross the zebra crossing to pass in front of the
Gresham Hotel. Walk about 100 metres to the Broadmarsh Bus station, catch the
number 4 or number 5, to the Triumph
Road stop, which is actually on Derby Road (see
links to maps). There is an automated display to tell you what stop you are
at. You should be able to see a Jaguar garage on the opposite side of the
road, cross over and walk for about 5 minutes down Triumph Road, the sports centre is on
the right.
If coming by car, leave the M1 at J25,
and follow the A52 towards Nottingham. Stick
to the A52, it will take you past the University and then Queens
Medical Centre (QMC)- a huge hospital on the right. Keep going till you see
the Rose & Crown pub on the left, then take the next left (Triumph Road).
The sports centre is on the right, with free parking.
